This is an English translation of our privacy policy, provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the Japanese version is authoritative.

Yuri Hozoji (“we”) collects personal information relating to users (“you”) in the course of providing Kodomo to Tabiiku (the “Service”).

Article 1 (Scope)

This privacy policy applies whenever we obtain, use and manage personal information from users.

Article 2 (Information we collect)

We collect the information you provide to us through the Service, including information submitted through the contact form and in comments.

Article 3 (Purposes of use)

We collect and use personal information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and operate the Service
  • To send notices necessary for the operation of the Service
  • For advertising effectiveness analysis, market analysis and marketing
  • To respond to enquiries about the Service and to provide follow-up support
  • To contact you regarding services or projects we run
  • For purposes incidental to the above

Article 4 (Use of cookies)

In order to analyse access to and use of our website and the Service, to deliver advertising, and to improve usability, we may obtain cookies and similar files and technologies stored on the device you use to access them. We handle cookies and personal information in accordance with this policy.

Notwithstanding the above, the recipient is not treated as a third party in the following cases:

  • Where personal information is provided in connection with our outsourcing all or part of its handling within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
  • Where personal information is provided in connection with a business succession arising from a merger or other cause
  • Where it is provided to joint users as set out in Article 7

Article 7 (Joint use of personal information)

We may provide personal information to a specific party for the purpose of joint use. In that case we will publish in advance the categories of personal information to be used jointly, the scope of the parties using it jointly, their purposes of use, and the name and address of the party responsible for managing that personal information (and, for a corporation, the name of its representative).

Article 8 (Changes to this policy)

We may change this policy as required by amendments to legislation or by business needs. Where we do so, we will publish the change.

Article 9 (Disclosure, correction and related procedures)

In accordance with this article and our related internal rules, you may make the following requests to us, to the extent permitted by Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information:

  • Notification of the purposes of use of personal information
  • Disclosure, correction, addition or deletion of personal information or third-party provision records
  • Cessation of use, erasure, or cessation of provision to third parties
